In her compositions, Andrea Mongenie plays with light, texture and movement. Her paintings are characterised by a vibrant use of colour and an ability to express emotions through abstract forms and shapes using acrylics, oils and added matter. Mongenie’s process is gestural and instinctive, a search for balance through a dynamic interplay of colours and forms. The result is a visually calming and emotionally charged body of work. Her paintings are doorways to warm and tranquil worlds. Her work is a tribute to the complexity of human nature, bringing contradiction, chaos and imperfection together to create beauty.

Her more recent work embodies the resilience of new motherhood, recovery and care.

Andrea Monegnie’s paintings have been featured in publications such as HOME Magazine, Elle Deco and Homes & Gardens. She has done special projects for Liberty London, The Hoxton Paris and Soho Home.
